Some weeks have past since Natalie (Natalie Ast Style) and I visited High Park to see the cherry blossoms in bloom. We spent the day strolling around in attempt of escaping the city. Families, friends, couples and pets all came to enjoy the ethereal beauty of the falling pink petals.
In the midst of it all we climbed some trees, made some friends (with puppies, geese and petting zoo pets) and found a quaint coffee shop; perfect for sunbathing and enjoying our iced coffees.
While what I'm about to say may seem cheesy or cringe-worthy, that day the park felt like a daze conjured up by a Claude Monet painting. After weeks of work, schedules and responsibilities it seemed appropriate to escape the confines of my smartphone and find a safe haven -- even if only a subway ride away.
